I appreciate all you are doing to fight to maintain and enhance our retiree healthcare benefits – and keep us informed! However, as the time gets closer for Congress to vote on whatever ‘health care plan’ that is developed, it would be most helpful for those of us who understand how to navigate such documents to actually see a copy of the actual legislation. I really don’t want any more 700+ page document filled with ‘surprises’ – after the vote has been tallied. MOAA is a great organization – surely, you all will see the legislation. Please ensure that we can also – even it is only a ‘link’ to the document. Thank you. Diane M. LeDonne
Glad to hear from another “legislative geek” like us who likes to read the details for herself! But the reality is that when we’ve done that in the past, very few (if any) members actually clicked on the link to pore through all those pages of text. The vast majority of members tell us they just want us to track the details for them and keep them posted on the things that matter.
My vote is with Colonel Strobridge!
